The Development of US Democracy: Tutorial Which powers were left to the king? What was important about the powers that remained with the king?

I learned this today oh my goat im so excited now!!!

3 types of charters were given to the colonies in order to govern them. the first one was a charter or commercial colony in which the king granted the charter to joint stock corporations. the second type was the proprietary colony in which the ling granted land to individuals. in fact the British granted the colonies freedom politically. the third one, the royal colony was ruled bya. governor appointed by the king. This type was the most common. because the colonies were being governed in many different ways, they lacked unity.
