Vernikos has convinced me that space exploration is worth the cost, because space tells us a lot of information about our lives and survival. It is stated in the text, "Our ability to explore and sustain human presence there not only expand Earth's access to mineral resources but, should the need arise, provide alternative habits for humanity's survival."
