How did the gold and salt trade increase Afro-Eurasian trade networks and cultural diffusion? Please explain!

In order to be involved in Afro-Eurasian trade networks, the traders have to spent their time in 3 different continents. Asia, Africa, and Europe.

While those traders were interacting with local people, cultural exchange occurred between them.

For example, traders from Asia who sold their products in Europe will learn a couple things about European culture. At the same time, European people will learn a couple things about Asian culture.

Over the course of time, they will adopt several characteristics of each cultures into their own and created a combination between the different cultures. This is what we referred to as a Cultural Diffusion.
