Compare and contrast policies towards Indigenous Peoples and African Americans (1870-1930) including government policies and decisions and their social/cultural outcomes as well as the response to these inequalities.

Indigenous Peoples were largely segregated to reservations located in the Western states, with a few in the Eastern states (East of the Mississippi). Local governments often sponsored armed conflicts between European colonists and the Native Americans.

African Americans in the South were subject to repression, voting disenfranchisement, segregation, and even violence. The Jim Crow laws are a test of this. This is why many of them migrated to industrial cities in the North like NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago and Detroit, were they fared better, but still suffered from racism and discrimination.

urban people were mostly involved in jobs that required phyisical labor they are paid daily wages (minimum wages) from which they evoke their living. daily wages also mean that the day they don't turn up for work ,even due to sickness, they aren't paid anything.
