During world war 2, The military developed pesticides to help protect soldiers at war from disease caring insects. After the war Americans begin to use pesticides at home too. But Pesticides had unforeseen dangerous. Scientist Rachel Carson, who works for the US Fish and wildlife service, observe the birds were getting sick and dying after eating insects exposed to the pesticide DDT. Carson book silent spring warmed up for in certain sectors the whole ecosystem, with the potential to make human being sick as well. Carson’s research, which resulted in a burn on the DT, is credited with inspiring the modern environmental movement she reminded people that we are a part of nature as much as any other plant or animal.
