When Washington stepped down, he had words of caution to the United States, warning them of the dangers that he saw early on as President.
The sad truth is that We, as a Nation, failed at meeting his wishes.
Why do you suppose the U. S. did not listen to him? He one of the most respected Founding Fathers, and
yet his two wishes to not happen in this country eventually happen. Is it just human nature or were the
wheels of the inevitable already in motion for his words to even matter?
