Constitutionalism simply means that the power of government should be limited and those in position if authorities should be checked and restrained so that they won't overuse their powers.

Rights are the freedoms that individuals have which are protected by law. These include freedom of speech, right to life, right to vote and be voted for, freedom of religion, freedom to petition the government, freedom of speech etc

The right to resist an illegitimate government states that the government should have the consent of its citizens and the aim of the government should be to ensure that the freedom of its citizens are protected.

In a situation wherby the citizens feel that the government isn't doing what they want or feel that their freedom isn't protected anymore, they have the right to change such government.
