The Meiji Government in Japan

The Government of Meiji Japan (明治政府, Meiji seifu) was the government that was formed by politicians of the Satsuma Domain and Chōshū Domain in the 1860s. The Meiji government was the early government of the Empire of Japan.

Politicians of the Meiji government were known as the Meiji oligarchy, who overthrew the Tokugawa shogunate.

Born in braintree (present-day quincy),  massachusetts, on october 30, 1735, john adams was the oldest of john and susanna boylston adams’ three sons. the elder adams was a farmer and shoemaker who also served as a congregationalist deacon and an official in local government
