One of the most important events in the history of my country is the July 4th, 1776. It was a date when Declaration of Independence was proclaimed. It was the document that officially published the independence of United States from Great Britain.

Most of the document was written by Thomas Jefferson, who also used ideas of John Locke while creating a draft. Ideas of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness since then are the leading ideas of our society. July 4th is therefore seen as the most important date in our history.

Founding Fathers who signed that document gave way to peace and prosperity of the country.
