However, the nobility of his spirit easily eclipses his fellow centaurs, and his appearance bears telltale signs of his superiority. The myth he is connected to is when Peleus, and his great-grandson, Achilles. Accidentally pierced by a poisoned arrow shot by Heracles, he renounced his immortality in favour of Prometheus and was placed among the stars as the constellation Centaurus.
