Sowing And Reaping The principle of sowing and reaping is stated in Galatians 6:7. Find the verse and write it
here.
Life Principle: Whatever a person does, whether it be good or bad,
will be returned to him in kind,
In other words, the things you do will come back to you. If you sow obedience, blessings will come
back to you. If you hurt others, others will hurt you. If you spread joy to others, joy will come back to
you. And if, like Jacob, you sow lies and deception, deception will come back to you. The first thing
that came back to Jacob and Rebekah because of their sinfulness is found in Genesis 27:41-43.
What happened and why?
The second story shows in a more real way the principle of sowing and reaping. When Jacob left
home, he went to Haran to live with his Uncle Laban. Remember, Laban was the brother of Rebekah.
You first learned of him when Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for Isaac.
Read Genesis 29 and answer the following questions:
Whom did Jacob want to marry?
For which girl did he work for seven years?
Who deceived him by giving him the older daughter as his wife?
Who became Jacob's first wife?
For whom did Jacob work for another seven years?
Who was Jacob's beloved wife?
Who gave birth to many sons?
