Positives:

1. FDR helped the US through the Great Depression with the New Deal

2. New Deal protected farmers and ended banking crisis

3. Social Security and FDIC were created

4. Gave millions of jobs to the unemployed

5. Restored people's faith in America

Negatives:

1. Increased government's power (threatened democracy principles)

2. Deficit spending (government was spending more than it was making = national debt increase)

3. Didn't end the Great Depression

4. Unemployment still existed
