They both had their own territory. Things that they had in common where that they both had villagers and they both grew different kinds of crops. Key differences they had where that they wanted land to themselves. People in that time cared about land crops and anything that gave them power.

Their is a lot of things that the two have in common one being that they had both had different levels of power. For example they had farmers peasants merchants and knights during that time.

Differences the two have are the amount of land and power they have. meaning that if the south had a more powerful ruler he can over rule the Northern empire and or take over the land. Power is one main key difference the two have.
