Can you fix my writing pl The Rosetta Stone was discovered in 1799 near Rashid by Napoleon's troops when they invaded Egypt in 1798. It is so important to ancient Egypt that they were often the subject of sculpture. So, the scholars labeled the slab the “Rosetta Stone” in honor of the place where it was found. The French used to rub paper, to make copies of the Rosetta Stone’s inscription so someone can read it. So, someone name Thomas Young was determined to solve the discovery language and he tried but did not success. So, there was someone named Champollion and he visited temples in the Valley of the Kings and Champollion did not know what it means so he studied hard by doing some research online. So, Champollion now knew a dozen different hieroglyphic symbols in the early 1820s and know in 1802 the Rosetta stone is now sitting behind glass in the British Museum.
