Embargo Act of 1807

Explanation:

Prior to the creation of this act, The British Soldiers showed hostility toward American government by Caputring the sailors / Merchants in the middle of their trade routes.

In retaliation to British Action, the United States congress enacted the  Embargo Act of 1807.

This act was aimed to damage Britain's economy. By ordering the production of goods that usually imported from England, United States government efficiently cut off the stream of income that The British Empire obtained through their transaction with US Traders.
