In general, the British were very angered by the colonists' rebellious activities. For example, when colonists boycotted British goods, and dumped British tea into Boston Harbor, it infuriated Britain. Parliament and the king sought to control the colonies again by implementing stricter rules and acts.

The British perspective on the colonists’ rebellious activities was that the rebels who went against the crown were traitors. When you go against the crown you are classified as a traitor because you're technically (in their culture) going against the country as well.
