We are bogged down in the nastiest winter this plain likely ever saw. The temperatures are well below - 20oC and the wind never ceases. This morning we came across a man and his wife. She was a native. We found out her name was Sacagawea. Turns out she was pretty handy. She could cook and sow and she looked like she was intelligent. Her husband didn't seem too interested in her intelligence, but we all noticed that she could persuade the Hidatsa Indians to give her what she asked for. She seemed to speak to her husband which meant she knew at least 2 languages. The captains hired them both on the spot.
