Explain both the positive and negative influences geography had on the people who moved to the West early on. What opportunities did geography provide? What obstacles did it present? Well it helped the find safe land to migrate to. Though the journey getting there is the real challenge.  Geography provided ways for people to know which land is nearby, The obstacles is that not every map is right and some may lead to somewhere else.
