Today, society has evolved economically compared to the last century: most of society has abandoned poverty and positioned itself in the middle class, and there are increasingly lower rates of unemployment and marginalization. This makes the most economically disadvantaged groups more noticeable, since they are far fewer and, therefore, more identifiable.
