On the other hand, people who were in support of the Articles and wanted the power to be in the hands of the states were called Anti-Federalists.

When the Constitutional Convention of 1787 was called, the original goal was to amend the Articles of Confederation. This did not happen though. The Articles actually ended up getting scrapped altogether and the United States Constitution was created instead.
