Do you feel like we can judge Truman's decision? Why or why not? (WW2)

Truman did have a tough decision to make, but out of the interest of the American people, I believe that he had put the sake of American lives over Japanese lives. It would make sense obviously because the country is at war with Japan. Any American president in that situation would choose American lives over Japanese. Does this mean the decision was a good one? Not necessarily, it's still being debated and for good reasons. Yes, Truman had the decision not to bomb Japan but it was inevitable. Again, it does not justify his decision. So yes people should judge his decision.

the quote by walter cronkite contributes to the central idea of the text by supporting the central idea. cronkite argues that what is deemed “right” for and in america may not be good for other countries. this supports the central idea of the text, that the vietnam war was unpopular in america for multiple reasons- including cronkite’s.

        i'm fairly sure that the correct answers are 2 and 3.

        i used both my knowledge of world history and the process of elimination to obtain these answers. option 1 cannot be a possible selection because the mandate of heaven belongs to ancient chinese philosophical belief. option 4 sounds like it would benefit the region than detriment it. however, both 2 and 3 explain a potential reason for what could have contributed to the fall of the roman empire.
