HELP! DUE TMR Why do you think the debate about how African-Americans are treated is still going on?

I feel like the debate is valid, African- Americans aren’t getting the proper justice and rights that America says they’ll get, for example the pledge of allegiance stating “individual and justice for all” which isn’t given to African Americans.
