They wished to keep there traditions. And via the Americanization of their children this would be causing their traditions to no longer be putting use as their children who have grown up in this new time. Would adopt new traditions. They also one of their children to be able to grow up the same way that they did and have the same traditions that they did as a form of bonding in the family.
