This is a terra-cotta figure from ancient Egypt. It was carved shortly after Alexander’s death. One of Alexander’s generals, Ptolemy, was ruling Egypt at the time.
The figure uses a realistic style. Although this is an Egyptian statue, it shows the Greek goddess Aphrodite. She is the Greek goddess of love.
The realistic features include detailed hair and dress, as well as details in her face.
It is currently in the Louvre in Paris, France.
