When Magellan discovered the Philippines he sailed in 1521, he sails from Spain to Africa to Southeast Asia where he landed in the Spice Islands. There are also route that they discovered as shortcut that is going far on the west because they new that the world wad round. They brought Christianization to countries and colonize them for power and richness
