Mali
Let me tell you why salt is a symbol of wealth in our county, in our country
salt was historically and very difficult to get a hold of, due to lack of production and
þeing expensive to buy! Many restrictions were placed on creation. Since salt was
abundant in the north of Mali, but scarce in the south, they would have to import it. Salt
was mainly used to preserve foods, like meat, but also corpses, and etc. Malians would
also need salt in their food, since they wouldn't normally have much in their diet. Salt is
more valuable to us than gold because the Akan lived in the forest of west africa, they
had few natural resources for salt and always needed to trade for it. Gold however, was
much more easier to come by. The people who lived in the desert of North Africa could
easily mine salt, but not gold. Our empire is the largest in west africa, and profoundly
influenced the culture of the region though the spread of its language, laws, and
consisting of numerous vassal kingdoms and provinces. Our country experiences an
extreme dry season followed by some rainy days, more rain goes to the south weather
in the north. North will typically be more consistent throughout the year, but more humid
in the summer months. The dry season
occurs between november and may, and most
precipitation occurs from july to September
