What makes today's muckrakers different from those of the progressive era?

The stakes are definitely much lower for today’s muckrakers, but also they bring things to light not a lot of us know. Back then it was quite obvious how much of the market the “captains of industry” owned, but people were basically staying quiet if they knew what was best for them. Here, schemes are much easier to hide behind mounds of fake news or blaming things on the media

Primary sources are usually  more accurate and are written by someone who experienced it or witnessed it. secondary sources are those who heard of it after the fact that can lose details and or twist the event in a light that benefits them.
