I think the abolition of slavery was the greatest movement, but on the other hand, Woman's Suffrage was also a very big movement.

The reform movements was a time when the whole country was realizing what was wrong with their way of life. Therefore, many things were changed such as the abolishing of slavery, ratification of the 14th amendment and Woman's Suffrage. These small but very meaningful changes are what makes this country what it is today. These reforms were life changing for the people who were being oppressed.

The men and women that made these reforms possible are true heroes. Knowing that a whole nation was against you must be very scary and sad, but they kept going, knowing that their descendants would have freedom. It is very sad how these people were treated and I'm glad that these changes were made. These reformations are truly what the country needed to come together and be reconciled. Hopefully we don't have to fight like Rosa Parks or Harriet Tubman for a change, but if it is necessary we should be ready to fight or peacefully protest to get the necessary changes.
