The working classes

The proletariat is the social class in a society whose only material value is the labour that they can provide in exchange for wages. Therefore, this refers to the working class. A member of this class is known as "proletarian." In Marxist theory, a dictatorship of the proletariat will give power to these classes, and in this way, end their oppression, destroy the conditions that force a person to be a proletarian and build communism.
