Why were japanese americans in hawaii not forced to go to internment camps?

The internment of Japanese Americans in the United States was a measure taken during the Second World War in reaction to the attack on Pearl Harbor were mostly ethnic Japanese people living on the Pacific coast who were subjected to this internment. Congressman Leland Ford wrote a letter recommending that all Japanese "were placed in concentration camps in the interior" because the naturalized ethnic Japanese who really wanted to demonstrate their patriotism should be willing to accept this sacrifice.
