Young Italy was a radical movement initiated by the youths of Italy. It was established in 1831 by Giuseppe Mazzini with the intention to unite Italy and establish a unified nation.  In the month of June of 1931, Mazzini wrote a letter to King Charles Albert pleading him to unite the whole nation. Later when he got assured that the letter didn’t reached the king, he initiated another movement in Marseille with the intention to form a united Italian republic. He laid emphasis on promoting general insurgency in the Italian states, mostly in the Austrian occupied states.

Mazzini being a revolutionary Italian politician laid too much effort on the amalgamation of Italy and became the spearhead of the Italian revolutionary movement. His ideologies helped to influence modern European movements to establish democracy in the Republican states. His thoughts also had a considerable sway on the framing of the constitution of Italy.
