Explain why deposit insurance developed in the 1930s

The reason why deposit insurance developed in the 1930s has a very strong link with the 1929 market crashes.
The market crash causing several banks to failed,which made the public trust toward the banks were at an all time low. To increase the trust, The Government created Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to guarantee's the safety of their money in the banks

Do you have more info about it ? i doubt this is the answer because i don't have all the information but if trouble was brewing in a clinic maybe it was an argument as to which clinic was better or smth of that nature
