Blenheim palace in Oxford-shire was financed by the British crown as Dukes of Marlborough. The palace, which is one of England’s largest houses, was built in 1705 until 1722. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Blenheim Palace becomes the one and only England non-royal and non-episcopal country house which has the title of palace.

Blenheim palace at first was built to be a reward for John Churchill, the 1st Duke of Marlborough, who won a battle. John Churchill got military triumphs against the French and Bavarian. At first, he didn’t get a palace, but a land. Then, in 1705, the construction to build the palace started. It was named Blenheim Palace because in 1704 Battle of Blenheim happened. It was actually right after the Blindheim in Bavaria. When John Churchill won the War of the Spanish Succession, the palace became Blenheim Palace.
