Why was christopher columbus brought back to spain in disgrace

 When Columbus discovered the new lands he was given the title of governor of this new land. It was a DISASTER. He put his brothers on the top positions in the administration, they were bad rulers, they created a lot of troubles with the local tribes 

With the big scandalous of how natives were treated by the spanish authorities in the americas and the way Columbus and his brothers were ruling and taking advantage of their position, the monarchs in Spain decided to put him in jail and they published the first law in the history of the world to protect natives.
