Justinian's Code was a compilation of imperial laws promulgated by Emperor Justinian, in a first version, on April 7, 529, and in a second, on November 17, 534.

Justinian's Code consecrated the system of Roman law, defining its durability in history and in the legal field. This work is considered as a legal anthology, as a collection of ancient writers in which the best of Roman jurisprudence is condensed.

The first objective of the Code was to give the people a practical legal code; and the second, to preserve classic Roman jurisprudence.

report examines the threat posed by al qaeda affiliates in the middle east and africa as described

by u.s. officials and outside observers, as well as the u.s. approach to date in responding to these
