Without the remarkable efforts of the Soviet Union on the Eastern Front, the United States and Great Britain would have been hard pressed to score a decisive military victory over Nazi Germany.

No, I don't think that the U.S. should have done more considering they were trying to stay out of WWII and already had the Great Depression to deal with. Also, in the end, the U.S. and Soviet Union worked together with France & Britain to fight back against the Axis powers (Italy, Germany, and Japan).
