What did mr. sanborn mean when he said "harriet was too real a person to be suspected"? she was innocent. you could believe her stories. she did not steal the money. she did not smuggle slaves.

This was meant by she isnt like the girls we see today that some are fake meaning they lie about their life or they try to act like somebody their really not well Harriet wasnt like these girls she stayed true to her self and didnt lie about what she had or what she is she stood true and this is what they meant by that, Hope this help! :D
