What are all the ways an election affects a community?

ex. some citizens volunteer their time to with a candidate's campaign.

It affects the community because if some people do not like who they have running they can cause a big argeement that can lead onto fighting

- Could effect the citizens directly by causing interference with their daily lives.
- The person being elected could directly or indirectly affect the community by the rules they make or wish to make
- It could cause a spilt between the community.
(A direct example here, if one is needed, would be the Shia's and Sunnis'. They split apart because they had different beliefs on who should rule.)

Do you have more info about it ? i doubt this is the answer because i don't have all the information but if trouble was brewing in a clinic maybe it was an argument as to which clinic was better or smth of that nature
