What did john locke think about the social contract theory?

John Locke thought about. Human natural rights and how the people keep the government in control while the government gave laws for people to follow. So basically people help the government and the government helps the people, like a check and balance system. He also made up "Life, liberty and property" which inspired the Declaration of Independence.
