Why did many in Europe and the United States feel the need to create a Jewish state, Israel, after World War II? A. Many in the United States and Western Europe felt that a new state of Isreal would rid their own populations of this often hated cultural group.

B. The new state of Israel run by Jewish immigrants was seen by Western Europe and the Americans as a way to bring wealth and economic stability to this region.

C. There were those in Western Europe and the United States who felt guilty for the events of the Holocaust and the Jewish lives that had been lost.

D. Western Europe and the United States were tired of having to always rescue the Jewish people therefore, they wanted to "cage" them upon their own land.
