How did modern day scientists figure out that rodents and fleas were to blame for transmitting the plague? 1) Because they had nothing else to blame it on.

2)Because rats are so dirty, of course it HAD to be their fault.

3) Because there were more fleas back then compared to now.

4)Because many rats and marmots had the same symptoms as humans, and died in large numbers around the same time in history.
