Dear Father
What could have possessed you to send me way off here? Your notion of military glorywe
altogether to exalted (hig). Yet it was natural to you, that had fought in the Revolutionary and late
wars to entertain a big opinion of battle. As for me I detestit thought it would be rare Sport to
march to Mexico Visions sunny skies and tropical fruits, of rare and illustrious beauties, and of
