Instructions
APUSH Decades Project β7 th : Due Thurs May 20th, 2 nd & 6 th : Due Friday May 21 st
Students will select a decade from history β 1900s, 1910s, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, or
2000s. Student will then chose one of the following options β food, fashion, or fad. Students will sign up for their choice
by Friday May 14 th . All choices must be approved by Mrs. Kibodeaux. This project will count as a test grade and will be
turned in on Thursday May 20 th or Friday May 21 st .
Choice 1: Food from your decade
a. Choose a food or drink from your decade and bring for your classmates to enjoy. Be sure to bring enough for
everyone in your class to sample.
b. Complete a 1.5-2 page typed paper about the history of food from your decade.

Choice 3: Fad or Activity from your decade
g. Choose a popular fad or activity from your decade. Teach the class about your activity and bring all necessary

h. Complete a 1.5-2 page typed paper about the popular activities/dances from your decade.

Rubric for paper:
A well written essay will include an overview of the decade and several body paragraphs detailing specific fad,
fashions or foods from that decade.
