Why did Americans feel that they needed a new constitution to govern the country? Do you think they were right? Why or why not?

The men who wrote the Constitution of the United States believed that the US needed a new plan of government because they believed that the old plan gave too much power to the states and not enough to the national government.

The new Constitution allowed them to feel optimistic about their chances for future economic success. They thought they were right becuase of that.
