They called Physical Education as a survival because doing physical activities in ancient times were very necessary in training a warrior, soldier and ancient athletes, they train really very hard and sometimes do hard things that can bring them to danger that may cause death and accidents.

Training in ancient times were like a survival activity because showing your true power is very essential ro make you someone powerful and useful. It's like you must surpass death to become a respected warrior.
