How did the expansion and growth of industry in America, during the latter half of the 19th century, affect the United States in a positive way?

crop rotation kepy different plants in the soil instead of once constintly. when switching out plants you have different nutrients being absorbed at different speeds and different roots growing differently therfore the spoil and water flow have to adapt and carry fresh nutrients to carry the constant changes that were going on in the soil.

i think the answer is: cuba wanted to be independent from spain, and the u.s. wanted to end spanish rule in the west.
