Ele também era rejeitado pelas pessoas, por isso acbaou se tornando um um homem perigoso.

b)Cosette, era filha de Fantine e Jean Valjean, uma menina pobre e frágil.

Fantine, abandonada por Jean, a entrega para um casal que passou a maltratá-la. Eles faziam ela trabalhar para eles. Thénardier que era a mulher que cuidava de Cosette, pediu em troca uma quantia mesal em dinheiro dada por Fantine, para cuidar de Cosette.

Depois Cosette ficou sob a guarda de Jean VAljean.
