positive:Imperialism allowed Japan access to more raw materials than it had on its own home islands. Imperialism gained Japan territory to which some Japanese could move in search of better economic prospects. Imperialism helped to make Japan a world power.

negative:The negative effects of Japanese imperialism were bloodshed, suffering, and death on a massive scale. The Japanese regarded the nations they invaded as culturally and racially inferior. In practice, this meant that the people they conquered were treated with unspeakable cruelty.

for hobos it was a very hard time most hid on the sides of the railroad tracks causing people to get bulls and get them off sometimes causing in fatal death they couldnt get people to give them money because the   people were also in need of money
