Encouragement of formal education for boys.Napoleon Bonaparte was a French leader which ruled the French republic between 1799-1804. His rule benefited the male gender as he set up excellent schools known as Lycee in 1801.

He set up the schools to enable them to be more knowledgeable and literate enough to fight wars and fit into other important  positions in  the country
