Summarize the student protest of 1968

The 2–3 June 1968 student demonstrations in Belgrade, the capital of Yugoslavia, were the first mass protest in the country after the Second World War. The authorities suppressed the protest, while President Josip Broz Tito had the protests gradually cease by giving in to some of the students’ demands.

essentially, the students did not feel that the US should have anything to do with the Vietnam war so the began protesting. They also felt that the drafts in the US for the war were unfair especially because it was taking kids out of school to fight in a war that had nothing to do with their country itself. They also were against the Johnson administration.
